My Opinion on El Royale – Key Findings
I reviewed this site several years ago when it only offered a couple hundred games and relied on gaudy bonuses. Fast-forward to current times and El Royale has boosted its game selection immensely to over 1,300 titles.
What stands out to me is that they have no withdrawal fees and feature third-party game testing from TST.
El Royale could improve its desktop site, minimum withdrawal ($150), and payout times. The latter is the most concerning issue, but players seem to get their money eventually.
If you are looking for many games and promos and do not mind waiting on payouts, then El Royale is worth considering.
What I Loved
- A large selection of over 1,300 games
- Frequent promotions like deposit bonuses & free spins
- I had a good experience with live chat
- No fees on any withdrawal method
- Game audits by Technical Systems Testing (TST)
Room for Improvement
- The desktop version did not work well for me. I used a Chromebook with Acer software to test this casino.
- $150 minimum withdrawals
- Some complaints regarding payout wait times

Sadonna’s Video Reviews of El Royale
Before I share my experience with this site, I recommend watching these five short videos where my colleague, Sadonna Price, reviews El Royale.
Sadonna, a former professional poker player and senior casino analyst at OnlineUnitedStatesCasinos, has reviewed over 40 gambling sites over the last five years.
She has some great insights to share, so be sure to take a look!
My Gambling Session Details
I began this review by trying to sign up through my laptop (Chromebook – Acer). However, the casino would not finalize my account details after I entered everything. I switched to my iPhone and quickly completed registration.
Next, I visited the cashier and browsed the bonuses. A 230% Slots & Card Games bonus stood out because it only required a $20 minimum deposit. Meanwhile, other bonuses featured a $100 or $1,000 minimum.
Additionally, I found out that if I used crypto the bonus increased 20%, making it a total match of 250%. I ended up using cryptocurrencies. I wanted to use USDC, but I saw that it required a $40 minimum deposit for some reason.
Therefore, I funded my account with $21.90 in Litecoin ($20.56 after blockchain fees). With the bonus, I started the session with $71.96 ($20.56 + $51.40).
I focused on slots and card games because they contributed to my bonus wagering requirements. The highlights of my playing session are as follows:
- The slots Dark Reels Pays, Osiris Fortune, El Dorado, and Book of Magic: Anubis Trial were not kind to my bankroll.
- Vampire Mansion delivered a $43.50 win ($1 bet) through free spins, but I lost some of that payout.
- I broke even playing Luxe Multipliers Blackjack and Blackjack Rolling Stacks. Luxe Multipliers did not contribute to wagering requirements despite being listed as a contributor.
- I lost my remaining $25 bankroll on the scratch cards Pirate’s Pillage and Demon Train.
Unfortunately, I did not come close to reaching the $2,878.40 in wagers needed to unlock bonus winnings. The table games provided steady wins, but I did not see much else beyond the Vampire Mansion payout.
The general sentiment on Trustpilot is not great, with a 2.1/5 rating. Some players complain that El Royale takes too long to pay and has rigged games.
Here are some players’ comments.
It Is a Scam
“Scam. Stay away. Dodgy games and ridiculously low wins.”
Three Months to Receive 20k
“…It took me 3 months to cash 20k and I have definitely spent more than that on this site in one week and more than once I’m sure. I just wanted to share so others can make a calculated decision before spending their money here.”
Fast Bitcoin Withdrawal
“…I especially enjoyed how easy and quick it was to cash out here. I made my first deposit with Bitcoin, and I was able to cash out my winnings to my crypto wallet within 24 hours.”
OK Game Selection
“Doesn’t really have my go to games but the support fast and pretty decent, alright promos, too. I’m still new to the site though hopefully they’ll add games.”
My Thoughts on El Royale’s Player Complaints
I generally ignore comments about rigged games unless there is concrete evidence. After all, I see these complaints regarding every online casino I review (check the Myths section).
Specific Trustpilot complaints look suspect because the reviewers have the same criticisms about other gaming sites—usually stating something like, “This casino is a complete ripoff!” However, I did see legit review accounts and complaints that validate the slow withdrawals.
A Reddit thread confirms this issue, with the poster complaining that they waited roughly a week to get $300 payouts each time. They eventually did receive all $5,400 in winnings—just at a slow pace.
Therefore, I would not expect a fast El Royale Casino withdrawal. I did not get to cash out myself because I lost my $71.96 bankroll. Therefore, I am relying on El Royale user reviews that appear legit.
On the other hand, I did not see any El Royale Casino online responses to the complaints.
Some gaming sites respond to criticisms, oftentimes providing helpful responses and clearing up issues. I would like to see El Royale support do the same, especially regarding accusations of slow account verification and payouts.
Myths Busted About El Royale
I am not thrilled with all aspects of this gaming site, but I also do not like unwarranted criticisms. The following myths popped up one or more times during my review.
Myth #1: The Max Bet on Bonuses Is a Scam
One Reddit user complained they got scammed out of bonus winnings after exceeding $10 max bets.
I do not love all of the terms surrounding El Royale Casino promotions, but the maximum wager term is clearly stated.
Many online casinos have a $10 betting limit for active bonuses.
Myth #2: El Royale Adjusts Win Rates
Some claim El Royale Casino adjusts win rates, alleging that you can’t win again after cashing out.
In reality, the site uses third-party software providers to run their games, ensuring they cannot alter game outcomes.
The developers control algorithms and results, not the casino.
Additionally, El Royale undergoes third-party audits by Technical Systems Testing, ensuring fair play.
El Royale Casino offers a variety of casino bonuses, most of which become visible once you log in.
I chose their standard welcome bonus, marketed as “Up to $7,500.” I picked it because it only required a $20 minimum deposit.
Other sign-up bonuses require minimum deposits of $100 or $1,000. I didn’t want to deposit $100+ just to test the banking process for this review. However, these larger deals do offer more bonus funds or higher match percentages.
One thing this operator does right is providing numerous promotions. Common terms for these bonuses include 30x-40x wagering requirements, a $10 maximum bet, and game restrictions.
While the terms are standard, I would appreciate more clarity on qualifying games. For example, I had to contact customer support to determine which card games qualified for the bonus I took.
My Recommended Bonuses
El Royale features several welcome offers and many other promotions. Therefore, I had my work cut out in picking winners. My two recommendations are the following.
El Royale Casino Welcome Bonus
You will find it marketed as the “Up to $7,500” welcome bonus, but in the description, it’s called the 230% Slots & Cards Welcome Bonus, which is kinda confusing, to be honest.
Essentially, you get a 230% match on your deposit, plus an extra 20% if you use crypto (basically a 250% up to $2,500 offer). You can use it in your first three deposits.
The wagering requirements are 40x the bonus plus deposit, with a maximum bet of $10 and a maximum cashout of 30x your deposit. Included games are video slots, keno, scratch cards, board games.
One thing I appreciate is that there’s no time limit to meet the wagering requirements, giving you some flexibility. However, the list of excluded games can be a bit limiting.
Overall, this bonus is a great way to boost your initial bankroll, especially if you use crypto. Just make sure to keep an eye on the wagering requirements and game restrictions to make the most of your bonus.
Welcome Bonus
El Royale vs Other Casinos – Welcome Bonus
240% up to $2,400 Slots Bonus + 70 Free Spins on Relax Lounge
This one is a favorite of mine. I’d had claimed it, but for some reason I missed it. The high match percentage and the extras for crypto deposits make it stand out.
This bonus only has a 35x wagering requirement (versus the standard 40x), which adds even more value. Plus, the minimum deposit is just $20 for most cryptos. If you deposit with crypto, you get an extra 20 free spins, bringing the total to 70 free spins. Keep in mind, this offer is only available once.
I highly recommend this bonus because of its high match percentage and lower rollover requirements compared to most other bonuses.

My Overall Thoughts on El Royale’s Offers
Most promos at this casino are similar regarding wagering requirements and high match percentages.
I like that you can also redeem deals multiple times using the same bonus code and that there are no time limits to meet the wagering requirements.
Of course, some promos differ slightly from others and are more attractive. The two listed above are perfect examples because they impressed me more than others.
For example, I like how the 240% offer with 50 free spins (+20 with crypto) has lower rollover at 35x.
Other Bonuses I Reviewed
I looked at other promos to see what else is worth mentioning. The following table shows more examples of the offers here. El Royale lists available bonuses on the right-hand side of the deposit section, and bonus codes automatically apply when you select a deal.
BONUS | ROLLOVER | BONUS CODE |
---|---|---|
225% (+ 20% crypto) + 40 Free Spins on Diamond Machine | 35x Deposit + Bonus | TRUECASH |
140 Free Spins on Road Trip | 30x Deposit + Winnings | ROADTRIP |
250% + 30 Free Spins on Fortune Digging | 35x Bonus + Deposit | TRUECOIN |
240% + 30 Free Spins on Griffin’s Riches | 35x Bonus + Deposit | TRUERICH |
El Royale features one of the largest game selections among US-friendly online casinos. I counted 1,315 games during this review, 700-800 more than the average operator.

Software Providers
No filter is available to sort games by software providers, but I did my best to document which developers are available here. BeGames, BetGames, Betsoft, DiceLab, Dragon Gaming, Nucleus, UrgentGames, and Visionary iGaming are the developers that I have confirmed.
My Top Game Picks
Of course, I did not get to play the vast majority of their games during my review. My top game picks for this casino are either ones I tried here or at other sites. I gravitated toward the DiceLab slots without realizing it. Here are my picks.
- Vampire’s Mansion (DiceLab): Vampire’s Mansion treated me the best with a $43.50 payout, making it my favorite game here. The eerie theme and atmospheric graphics really drew me in. The bonus rounds were exciting, and the frequent small wins kept me engaged.
- Book of Magic: Anubis Trial (DiceLab): I chose Book of Magic for its graphics and immersive Egyptian atmosphere. The free spins and expanding symbols added an extra layer of fun.
- Dark Reels Pays (DiceLab): Dark Reels Pays drew me in with its dark fantasy theme and graphics. The unique bonus features and high volatility made it thrilling, as I never knew when a big win might strike.
- Rolling Stack Blackjack (Rival Gaming): Rolling Stack Blackjack offered a fun side bet and delivered plenty of winning hands. The option to place a side bet added an extra strategic element.
- T-Basket (BetGames): T-Basket is a unique live dealer game where you can bet on basketball players making shots. I loved the interactive aspect and the excitement of seeing if my chosen player would make the basket.
Now, let’s dive into the different game categories I explored below.
Slots
The online slots section could keep me busy for a long time with its 1,113 games.
I played a small portion of these slots, and you can see my experiences with each below:
- Book of Magic: Anubis Trial (95% RTP) – Anubis Trial is a standard book-of slot, but it stands out thanks to impressive background graphics.
- El Dorado (96.2%) – This slot provides an option between 50 free spins with multipliers or picking hidden items for the bonus round. I never triggered the bonus and quickly lost $15.
- Osiris Fortune (96.3%) – I did not experience the 96.3% RTP in Osiris Fortune, netting limited wins before dropping $10.
- Dark Reels Pays (95.72%) – I quickly burned through $10 playing this slot, but the spooky mansion vibe and sound effects were entertaining.
- Vampire Mansion (96.34%) – My bankroll rapidly decreased before I opened this game, quickly triggered free spins, and won $43.50 on a dollar bet.
Most of these games were not generous to me, but I see potential in this selection. The slot games are especially worthwhile because they contribute 100% towards bonuses.
However, you should check the bonus terms and conditions page for specific slot restrictions (e.g., Neferetti’s Ring Jackpot).
El Royale vs Other Casinos – Number of Slots
Blackjack
This gaming site features 29 blackjack variations at the time of my review. Examples of unique variants include Dragon Blackjack, Luxe Multipliers, Poker Bet Blackjack, Rolling Stack, and Super 7.
I played Luxe Multipliers and Rolling Stack during my session.
Luxe Multipliers offers up to 10x win multipliers and a Perfect Pairs side bet. It features an outstanding 99.61% RTP through basic play, but the Perfect Pairs wager provides just 95.01% RTP.
Rolling Stack offers a side bet that delivers bonuses for specific two-card hands. Its RTP is 97.21%, although I am unsure if that is with the optional side bet included (the info screen did not specify).
I still managed to win a few dollars through Rolling Stack despite the lower payback.
I asked customer service which card games qualified for my bonus. They indicated that Rolling Stack and Luxe Multipliers provided 20% contributions, although I noticed that the latter was not contributing.
I still had a while to go on this review, so I did not feel like haggling with support about this matter. You might want to watch out for these issues regarding promotions.
Roulette
The online roulette variations are mixed with the table games here.
I like it when online casinos offer a separate roulette section, especially when 15 variants are available, like at El Royale. Examples of these games include Double Dragon, La Partage Roulette De Lux, Luxe Multipliers, and Zoom.
I do not see offers where roulette contributes towards bonus rollover.
That said, I did not play any roulette games during my session. However, I would try La Partage Roulette with no promos due to its 98.65% RTP on even-money bets.
Other Table Games
Some table games beyond roulette include Andar Bahar, Dragon Tiger, baccarat, no-commission baccarat, Pai Gow, Speed Hi-Lo, and Top Card Trumps.
I checked out the Dragon Tiger demo and found the table interesting due to its dragon and tiger designs.
Certain table games may qualify for El Royale promotions. Customer support noted that Card Clash and Teen Patti contributed 20% to my Slots and Cards bonus.
Video Poker
Over two dozen video poker variations are available here, far more than most gaming sites.
Examples include Aces & Faces, Deuces & Joker, Double Bonus Poker, Jacks or Better, and Tens or Better.
I opened Jacks or Better (JoB) and saw that it had a 9/6 pay table, meaning it delivers nine coins for a full house and six for a flush.
This JoB pay table is the best and features 99.54% RTP under optimal strategy. Since JoB contributes 20% to Cards bonuses, you should take advantage of this game when possible.
Casual Games – Specialty Games
The specialty games category contains 59 titles, spread across Plinko, bingo, shooter, scratch cards, crash, and mines.
Scratch cards comprise the bulk of this selection, with 26 available. I tried a Rival Gaming card called Pirates Pillage (95.45% RTP) and did not win much.
Keno and scratch cards provide 100% towards bonus wagering requirements. I found that some cards do not contribute anything, such as when I tried opening Luck & Magic.
El Royale stopped me from playing, noting that Luck & Magic would disqualify me from the bonus.
Live Dealer Games
The live casino features 72 tables, including many duplicate blackjack, American roulette, and European roulette tables.
I was impressed with the live casino games in the ‘Other‘ category. This section included intriguing titles like Bet On Poker, Dice Duel, Football Grid, T-Basket, T-Kick, and War of Bets.
I have played T-Basket and T-Kick at other casinos and enjoyed their blend of sports betting and live gaming.
Other notable games include Blackjack Early Payout, Lucky 7, Super 6, and Wheel of Fortune.
Nothing in the live section contributes to wagering requirements. Therefore, you should not accept a bonus before playing live games here.
This casino has a strange mix of banking options. The deposit methods in my account included 11 cryptocurrencies and PayPal. I do not typically come across PayPal at offshore gaming sites, so I emailed support asking if US players can use this eWallet (still no response).
The withdrawal methods include bank wire, Bitcoin, and card.
I find it strange that credit cards are a cashout method but not a deposit option for me. I assume some players must have access to Visa and Mastercard deposits because they are on the website.
The Bitcoin-only withdrawal option—with no other crypto available—struck me as odd.
Deposit Options Summary
The deposit options likely vary by country and individual users.
Again, my account only showed cryptocurrencies and PayPal as banking methods. I felt like I should have been able to use credit cards, as the website suggests. I emailed about PayPal because I did not feel like it would be usable, but support has not gotten back to me yet.
The following facts about deposits are based on my account options but could change if a credit card is available to you.
- Fastest Deposit Method: Crypto, 0-15 minutes on average
- Deposit fees: Yes, Crypto network miner fees
My Recommended Deposit Method: LITECOIN
I recommend cryptocurrency deposits because this was the only valid option available—still no word back on PayPal.
Most available crypto here requires a $20 minimum deposit. I sent $21.90 worth of Litecoin ($20.56 arrived after blockchain fees) because I am used to LTC.
I was going to use USDC since it was available in my Coinbase account. However, I saw that USDC and USDT are the only two options with a $40 minimum deposit. I just wanted to make a small deposit to go through the process, so I chose a cheaper option.

El Royale Vs Other Casinos – Deposit Methods
El Royale Casino Withdrawal Options
El Royale Casino withdrawal methods include bank wire, Bitcoin, and credit card. This gaming site notes that it does not charge additional cashout fees, which is generous considering that many casinos at least add bank wire fees.
El Royale takes its time approving cashouts, with Bitcoin approved the fastest at 1-3 days.
You must submit your name, address, and phone number (not part of registration) before viewing the withdrawal options. This casino will also ask for a photo ID and proof of address (e.g., utility bill) when you request a cashout.
- Is Verification Required? Yes/Photo ID & proof of address
- Fastest Withdrawal Method: Bitcoin/1-3 business days
My Recommended Payout Method: BITCOIN
I recommend using Bitcoin for withdrawals because it is the fastest option.
The website notes that BTC cashouts are approved in 1-3 days, which is quicker than cards and wires. I would like other crypto options, but Bitcoin is currently the only one.
El Royale imposes a hefty minimum withdrawal of $150 for any method.
Most online casinos let you request crypto cashouts starting at $20. The $2,500 weekly limit on withdrawals is not ideal either. I like at least a $5,000 weekly limit—if not much higher.
Here’s the breakdown of every available method.
WITHDRAWAL METHOD | MIN PAYOUT | MAX PAYOUT |
---|---|---|
|
$150 | $2,500 |
|
$150 | $2,500 |
|
$150 | $2,500 |
El Royale Vs Other Casinos – Payout Methods
The El Royale customer service team is available through email, live chat, and phone. Here are the details of each channel.
- Support Email Address: [email protected]
- Languages: English
- Live Chat: Yes
- Phone Number: 1 (850) 400-3297
- Response Time: Up to 48 hours
Here’s How I Tested
I had a mostly positive experience with customer support at this site. I appreciated the numerous ways to get ahold of someone and how quickly they responded.
The only elements I didn’t like was the nudging to add a bonus to my account, but I can look past that. For the amount of times I had to get ahold of them, they overall did a wonderful job.
I used email and chat during my review, and you can see my experiences below.
Live Chat
I contacted a rep about which card games qualify for my chosen Slots & Cards bonus.
The rep was helpful and knowledgeable, although they did take their time between responses.
I asked support if US players can use PayPal (as listed in my account).
Customer service has not answered me for over 24 hours after my email went out.
My Experience With El Royale’s Support
I am used to casinos not quickly responding to my emails.
Perhaps many gaming sites treat email as a distant second priority when they offer live chat. That said, I will not fault El Royale too much for the unanswered email so far.
My live chat experience was good, although there were 30-90-second pauses between responses. I am used to slightly faster responses when dealing with chat at other casinos.
El Royale Vs Other Casinos – Customer Service
El Royale Casino stands out with its vintage-era speakeasy graphics and clean, minimalistic layout. The vibrant plum accent color against the greyscale palette adds a nice touch.
The “Sign Up” button is subtle and doesn’t overpower the page.
I particularly liked the homepage design, especially in dark mode, where colorful images and clear offers make navigation straightforward.
However, while the mobile experience is fluid and user-friendly, the desktop platform felt slower. On my iPhone, the site was responsive, and games loaded quickly without any lag.
In contrast, the desktop version had occasional delays when navigating between pages. Despite this, the overall design is solid.
The information is clear and easy to understand, and the layout is visually pleasing.
The mobile interface, in particular, stands out for its smooth performance, making it my preferred way to play.
The Best Features
- Well-organized homepage that looks great in dark mode.
- Smooth mobile experience, though the desktop version needs improvement.
- Subtle “Sign Up” button that’s easy to locate.
- Games are organized and easy to find.
El Royale Vs. Other Gambling Sites
El Royale Casino offers more promotions and games than most of its competitors.
It also accepts more crypto deposit options than the typical gaming site at 11 coins. I did not find the desktop version as functional as with many online casinos—although the mobile version works well.
Additionally, El Royale seems to pay out slower than top competitors by at least a few days. You can see more on how this operator compares to other casinos below.
ONLINE CASINO | BONUS | # OF games | average rtp | READ REVIEW | START |

Player Protection
The El Royale responsible gambling page features tips to promote safe play. It also provides a self-assessment tool to help you determine if you are playing under control. El Royale has a self-exclusion option (account ban lasting six months to five years) for anybody with a serious problem.
You can learn more about this matter through our responsible gambling page.
My Verdict
I came away from this review impressed with the game variety and promotions.
You can choose from many promos in the cashier area, and the game selection boasts over 1,300 titles. Third-party testing from TST gives me confidence that I am dealing with fair odds.
On a down note, I would not see myself consistently winning enough to meet the $150 minimum withdrawal—at least with smaller deposits. The complaints about slow verification and payout times are also concerning.
However, you might still consider El Royale when seeking many games and big promos.
Of course, you may need to deposit more than the $20.56 I did to have a stronger chance of cashing out.
